| One of our goals as a student ministry is to come alongside of and support what is already happening in the home.
We want to keep you informed about what we're doing, teaching, asking,
etc. so that you can continue those conversations at home. This page
will help us accomplish that! |

This year (2010-2011) we're doing a character study based on the life of
David and those around him, spending most of our time in 1 Samuel.
If you would like Harvey's notes and small group questions on a particular lesson, email him (
) and ask to be added to the parent-lesson email list!

This site -- The Center for
Parent/Youth Understanding -- is designed to help you see all that our
students are surrounded by. Please be warned that some of the articles
deal with material that some may find offensive (song and movie reviews,
etc.). And that's the unfortunate point -- most of our students have
already heard this stuff. |

We found a site designed specifically to give Dads some ideas and equipment to be... well... heavenly fathers. |

facebook
and
myspace
|
|
Here's a contraversial one.
If you think or know that your student has a myspace, facebook, xanga,
or whatever site and you've never visited then do it now.
Parents, if you visit the site and have a student that has
their own myspace I would strongly encourage you to go one step
further... create a space of your own! I (Tim) will help you. *Don't
tell your kids. :P
Here's why--when you have a facebook site or myspace page
that is networked with your student, then you can see what they see
(their friends, their conversations, their profiles, etc). It's a great
way to know their world, help them engage it, as well as help them be
accountable in it. |
