Our desire is to be a church of small groups.  This means that we desire to have church members be a part of a small group to foster vital relationships with other believers which are grounded in prayer, Bible study and fellowship. 

The goal is for small groups to function as a vital part of the church life where members of the church can live out what it means to be an Acts Church: A Church in Action.  The intent is that the group members will walk by faith and be known by ACTS.

Functions of an ACTS Study Group.

Applying God's Word:
Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing (James 1:22-25).

The whole commandment that I command you today you shall be careful to do, that you may live and multiply... so you shall keep the commandments of the L ORD your God by walking in His ways and fearing Him (Deuteronomy 8:1,6).

Caring For One Another:
For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another... By this we know love, that He laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth (1 John 3:11,16-18).

Transformational Worship:
By the mercies of God, present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.  Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may decern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:1-2).

I will extol You, my God and King, and bless Your name forever and ever.  Every day I will bless You and praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the L ORD , and greatly to praised, and His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works, I will meditate. They shall speak of the might of Your awesome deeds, and I will declare Your greatness... (Psalm 145)

Sharing Christ:
Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned (Mark 16:15-16).

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you (Matthew 28:19-20).
