1. The Hilltown Creative Arts Academy performs background checks on all instructors or any volunteers who have contact with children.
2. The windows of the classroom doors remain uncovered to allow a clear view of all lessons.
3. All private lessons take place within the church facility and in a room with a security camera.

This policy makes a secure environment for both our student body and teachers. 

Attendance Policy

1. Students commit to a full semester of lessons at registration.
2. HCAA will offer make-up lessons for any lessons or classes cancelled due to teacher absence or inclement weather. Students will not be credited for lessons they choose not to make-up.
3. HCAA follows weather closings for Pennridge School District.
4. Individual Instruction: Make-up lessons for one reported absence per student are provided during the student’s regularly scheduled time in the week following the conclusion of each semester. A reported absence is any absence in which the student has notified the teacher directly at least one day prior to the lesson.
5. Class Instruction: No make-up lesson will be offered for student absences. Where the same class is offered more than once a week, the student may attend the alternative class time in the event of a reported absence. Specific class dates may be mandatory (e.g. dress rehearsals); your teacher will notify you of those instances in advance. If you are in a drama class, please consider that you are part of a team, and your faithfulness in attendance impacts all students in your class.
6. I give permission for any photos of lessons, classes, drama productions or images of artistic works produced in classes to be used in academy promotional materials.

Tuition and Payment Policy.

1. Students commit to a full semester of lessons at registration.
2. The $50 annual registration fee per family is due at registration. (Registration will not be required in the winter, spring or summer for returning students).
3. Tuition is due in advance and is non-refundable unless the class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment.
4. Tuition may be paid either in full at registration or in 4 equal installments.
   a. Where you choose to pay in installments. The first installment is due on Monday, Aug 16^th or if registering after this date, due with registration.
   b. Additional installments will be paid on Sept 13^th, Oct 11^th, and Nov 15^th.
   c. You will receive statements 2 weeks prior to each installment due date showing your amount paid and installment amount due.
5. Discounts will apply for students from the same family enrolled in multiple classes:
   a. Two HCAA classes in the same semester receive a 5% discount.
   b. Three HCAA classes in the same semester receive a 10% discount.
6. Students who enroll mid-semester will pay the registration fee plus pro-rated tuition for the remaining weeks of the semester and will follow the remaining installment payment schedule.
7. Please make checks payable to HCAA. For tracking purposes, please do not pay in cash.

Supplies, Homework, and Practice

1. I understand that I am expected to bring the necessary supplies, scripts and/or assigned music to class.
2. I understand that I am expected to follow through at home with any assignments given by my instructor.
   a. Private music students are expected to practice at home on a regular basis.
   b. Drama students are expected to memorize lines outside of class and come prepared to meet the memorization deadlines set by the instructor.
   c. Other classes may also require preparation and homework.
