Child Protection Policy

  • The Hilltown Creative Arts Academy performs background checks on all instructors or any volunteers who have contact with children.
  • The windows of the classroom doors remain uncovered to allow a clear view of all lessons.
  • All private lessons take place within the church facility and in a room with a security camera.

This policy makes a secure environment for both our student body and teachers.

 Tuition Policy

  • Tuition is due in advance.  Students may pay by the semester or monthly.
  • Tuition may be paid by check or money order, payable to the Hilltown Creative Arts Academy.
  • Tuition is non-refundable.
  • Each student commits to a full semester of lessons at the time of enrollment.
  • For students who enroll mid-semester, tuition will be pro-rated for the remaining weeks of the semester plus the registration fee.
  • Classes may be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. Tuition will be fully refunded.

Attendance Policy for Private Instruction

  • Make-up lessons for one reported absence per student are provided during the student’s regularly scheduled time in the week following the conclusion of each semester.
  • A reported absence is any absence in which the student has notified the teacher directly at least one business day prior to the lesson.
  • The academy will also offer make-up lessons for lessons missed due to teacher absence or inclement weather.
  • Cancellation of lessons due to inclement weather will be based on the Penn Ridge School District.
  • Teachers who miss due to professional development may have a reduced number of weeks per semester. Students will not be charged for these absences and they will not receive a makeup lesson.

     Attendance Policy for Class Instruction

  • Students who miss a class are invited to attend an alternate class as a makeup if the class is offered more than once a week.
  • Certain class dates may require attendance. Please see your class handbook for mandatory attendance dates. (e.g. dress rehearsal in the production class.)
  • Any classes cancelled due to teacher absence or inclement weather will be rescheduled.
  • Cancellation of lessons due to inclement weather will be based on the Penn Ridge School District.
  • Students who have a lengthy break between classes must be supervised by an adult.
  • Teachers who miss due to professional development may have a reduced number of weeks per semester. Students will not be charged for these absences and they will not receive a makeup lesson.
