T & T (Truth & Training) club is for girls and boys in Grades 3 - 5.
What happens at Awana?
The clubbers meet in the main sanctuary (auditorium) to begin each Awana Club night with songs and prayer.
This is the time when each club has their Bible lesson; lessons are tailored to each age group. The kids have a great time learning about Jesus!
During this time the children are divided into small groups to give them the opportunity to learn and recite verses from "sections" in their books; each child works at their own pace!
The clubs rotate into the gym for game time; this is a fun time for the kids (with their leaders!) to interact and play.
At the end of each meeting the clubbers join together to celebrate what they have learned and their accomplishments. Awards are given out at this time.
What do parents do during Awana?
There are Bible studies for women and men that takes place at the same time as the Awana Clubs. We invite parents and grandparents to stay and get a "mid-week-pick-me-up"! Additionally, our Jr. High student ministry, "remix", meets during this time.
Awana is also a great time for parents or grandparents to be involved in the Spiritual development of their children. Please contact our children's ministry director, Carolyn Shoop, at 215-249-0879 or email@example.com if you would like to talk about ways that you can be an Awana team member.
Is there a registration fee?
The $20 registration fee (per clubber) helps our church with the awards, supplies, books, uniforms, etc. Some Awana programs collect weekly "dues" to cover this cost. We find that it is more convenient to collect the fees at the time of registration. (NOTE- the church does not make any money from the AWANA program!) Please let us know how we may be of assistance with the registration fee: payment plans and scholarships are available!
