The Priorities of the Ministry at HBC
Children
Mission: To lead children into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Methods: HBC maintains a modern nursery facility taking into consideration the unique needs of infants and babies. This is staffed by loving, gifted individuals whose desire is to nurture those in their trust. An effective, well-planned strong Sunday School program is available on Sunday morning. The Wednesday evening program is Biblically based, but is more relational and socially sensitive, with various activities planned to support the Biblical theme of the week.
Youth
Mission: To see students become fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ by loving God and loving others wholeheartedly.
Methods: An effective, well-planned Sunday School program must be implemented affording a strong Biblical education. Additional Wednesday and Sunday evening small group ministries are used to foster discipleship and fellowship. is used to prepare students for ministry service on Sunday Morning. Various service and social activities are planned throughout the year. This is designed as a youth ministry; not a youth group.
Adults
Mission: To glorify God by training individuals to become fully devoted followers and disciples of Jesus Christ. Adults are challenged to live their faith in such a way that they will invite others to HBC with a distinct desire to evangelize the local community and the world.
Methods: We host cross-centered, culturally-relevant Discipleship Classes on Sunday morning in groups of 20-35 people. We also host Men's and Women's weekly morning Bible studies during the week both on and off the church campus. There is a prayer meeting on Wednesday evenings designed to bring before the people specific prayer needs and praises, and we host an active Men's Ministry and Women's Ministry which meet monthly for large group teaching and fellowship and weekly for discipleship and encouragement.
